I am a graduate of Rutgers the State University in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I am a Deputy Chief and Commander of Detectives in the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, presently assigned to the Major Crimes Division (Homicide Task Force/Cold Case Squad/Crime Scene Unit). I have been a Law Enforcement Officer for twenty-six years, and have been with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office since June 2007. My career in law enforcement began with the East Orange Police Department in 1999 where I eventually left at the rank of Sergeant in the Intelligence Unit to pursue a career with the Essex County Prosecutors Office. I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2010 and then promoted to the rank of Captain in 2016. I have been in supervisory positions in the following commands: Adult Trial Section, Narcotics Task Force, Homicide Squad, Vehicle Homicide, Internal Affairs, Special Prosecutions, Financial Crimes, Intelligence Unit and Arson Units. I am also a 2011 graduate of the New Jersey Chiefs of Police Command & Leadership Program.
I have had the distinct honor of serving our beloved Tau Zeta chapter as Vice-Basileus from 1992 to 1994. I gladly use my education and professional experience to help propel future alumni leaders and volunteers in the advancement of the Tau Zeta Alumni Association.
