Brother Edward Bethea is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Gateway Community Action Partnership. Where he oversees all financial, managerial and revenue-generating departments and activities. Originally appointed to Bridgeton City Council in June, 2018 to fill the vacate seat, in November 2018, Councilman Bethea was elected to a four-year term and he is currently the President of the Council.

Bro. Bethea holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ with a concentration in Administrative Services. Bro. Bethea was initiated April 16, 1979, Thundering Tau Zeta Chapter, where served as Basileus and Vice Basileus. Bro. Bethea maintains a dual membership – Upsilon Alpha - Atlantic City and Beta Iota Iota - Cumberland County, Graduate Chapters and is also a member of the Union Baptist Temple of Bridgeton. Edward Bethea is married and has four children as well as, three grandsons.
